DAVID AND GOLIATH

THE ROUND ROBIN ANNIVERSARY CHALLENGE-Best of RRPC

I really enjoy taking macro shots so couldn't resist the MACRO CHALLENGE in January this year.

So any excuse to take more and as this challenge asked for a new photo I took this as I arrived home from night shift this am. He is on a bromelaid leaf and the flowers attract lots of bees early in the morning. With insects you often only have a split second to get the shot, more time and I may have got the ant in focus. Like David, the ant won, the bee retreated after his close inspection.

Your macro shots are amazing, the spider is a little too close for comfort, Ü.

It's amazing what you do with Macro photos ! I have never seen insects from so close ! But sorry I had quickly to scroll down, because the above spider is really disgusting (to me ) lol !

Wow, fantastic bee shot! And to get the bee interacting with the ant, too -- I would love to get such a capture, but I'm a bit too afraid of bees. ;-)
