The Wanderer butterfly is known as a Monarch butterfly in the USA. I can be be sure of getting some photos of wanderers/monarchs if I head out just on sunset. Too early and I frighten them away. If they have settled for the night nothing disturbs them. This guy had well and truely settled.
Where as, this one was not to sure where he wanted to sleep. First he found a single solid stick.
Then he thought no maybe a smaller stick closer to the ground.
Next he decided that since the other one looked so comfortable he would join him.
So he flapped around and finally settled in next to the other one.
